Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer Certification
In early 2022 I wrote the Google Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE) exam. I found the process of preparing for this exam extremely helpful. I learned about the key components of Google Cloud and got hands-on experience working with these components to solve problems. Just about every day in my job I use things I learned in the ACE certification. In fact, I found the certification process so helpful in my daily work that I have been encouraging members of my team to get certified so they can enjoy the same benefits.
Time for another certification
My job responsibilities changed in the middle of 2022 and I needed to start using Vertex AI, Google Cloud’s machine learning platform, on a regular basis. The ACE certification covers many aspects of Google Cloud, including storage, compute, databases, networking, and security, but it doesn’t cover Vertex AI. Based on my experience with ACE certification, I decided that it would be helpful for me to get a certification related to Vertex AI. I hoped to get the same boost in my work with Vertex AI that ACE certification gave me for general Google Cloud applications.
